How the practice quizzes work
- Read the context and cue. Describe visible lights, shapes or marks, or listen to a complete signal.
- Choose and check an answer. Review its explanation and rule reference, then continue to your results.
- Retry and apply it. Revisit missed questions and open the linked simulator scenes to observe movement and replay.
Free, original supplementary practice using International COLREGs / IRPCS and separately labeled IALA Regions A and B. These are authored learning questions, not official examination questions or a qualification. Use the full applicable rules, current charts and local requirements on the water.
The quiz works in an ordinary JavaScript browser without WebGL. With JavaScript off, each topic still provides its concepts, explained answers, source references and practice links.

Take the watch in the simulator
A quiz checks a selected observation or authored decision. The marine simulator lets you inspect the scene from aboard and on the chart, choose an action, and watch the encounter develop.
